Anacortes Bier on the Pier – Friday, October 7–Saturday, October 8

September 26, 2016 in Vacations by cipcipTrip

2016 Anacortes Bier on the Pier offers guests the option to begin their sampling tour Friday evening from 5pm-9pm, completing it Saturday from 12pm-6pm, or plan to attend the event on either Friday night or Saturday, leaving plenty of time to explore the myriad of exciting adventures awaiting you on beautiful Fidalgo Island.

Bier on the Pier tickets include a commemorative tasting glass and your first six taste tokens, with extra drink tokens available for purchase at the event. Learn more about all of the festivities at anacortes.org/beer.

Set amidst the funky warehouse charm of Anacortes’ historic port building will be no fewer than 30 Pacific Northwest breweries, plus 10 cider houses, sharing their finest ciders, lagers, stouts and ales as guests work their way through the six tasting tickets that come with each day’s pass.

“Participating brewers are favorites both from up and down the Sound, and as far away as Winthrop and Spokane! It doesn’t get more fresh and local,” says festival committee chair, Kevin Pierce, himself a brewer (Anacortes Brewery). “They’re excited to pour their best brews, and share brewing insights with festival-goers.”

When it’s time to take a break and clear your palate, purchase delicious food from our participating food vendors, talk shop with fellow aficionados, debate your vote in the People’s Choice competition, or listen to live tunes.

“People at last year’s festival told us they love Anacortes – the whole vibe,” says Pierce. “They loved the great beers, the historic Port of Anacortes rustic warehouse and the setting right on the water. It’s hard to beat an afternoon or evening of beer and fun overlooking the San Juan Islands with cool boats cruising by.”

And when Bier on the Pier festival doors close, the night will still be young – and Anacortes wide awake, with great restaurants and music venues ready to keep your party spirit rolling. Be sure to plan ahead and book your room in advance, as there is local lodging for every budget and endless things to do the following day.
